Privacy Policy for Core-B Apps and Watch Faces

Simple Calendar Companion

Simple Calendar Companion provides calendar information and settings to Simple Calendar Watch Face on Wear OS.

Calendar access

Simple Calendar Companion may request permission to access calendars on the user's device.

Calendar access is used to:

• show available calendars in the app;
• allow the user to choose which calendars are displayed;
• read calendar events from the selected calendars;
• display relevant calendar information on the user's Wear OS watch.

Depending on the information contained in an event, this may include details such as the event title, start and end times, calendar, and location.

Calendar information is processed for the purpose of providing the calendar watch-face functionality. Core-B does not operate an external server that receives or stores the user's calendar information.

Selected calendar and event information may be transferred between the user's phone and Wear OS watch so that it can be displayed by Simple Calendar.

Core-B does not sell calendar information and does not use calendar contents for advertising.

Location

Simple Calendar Companion may request access to the user's approximate location.

Approximate location is used to calculate local sunrise and sunset times for the optional Automatic light/dark theme.

The app does not require precise location for this feature.

Location obtained for the sunrise and sunset feature is not used by Core-B for advertising and is not intentionally provided by Core-B to Google AdMob.

Users who do not wish to provide location access can use the manual Light or Dark theme options instead.

Advertising

Simple Calendar Companion contains banner advertising provided by Google AdMob.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process information for purposes including advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. Depending on Google's services and the user's settings, this may include:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
• interactions with the app or advertisements;
• diagnostic and performance information;
• device or account identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or App Set ID where applicable.

Advertising-related information processed by Google is handled according to Google's own privacy policies and data-handling practices.

Core-B does not provide users' calendar contents or location obtained specifically for the sunrise and sunset feature to AdMob.

Where required by applicable law, users may be presented with advertising privacy and consent choices.

Local storage and settings

Simple Calendar Companion may store settings locally on the user's devices, including:

• selected calendars;
• watch-face layout settings;
• theme preferences;
• text-size preferences;
• other Simple Calendar configuration.

Calendar information required by the watch face may also be stored temporarily on the phone or watch as necessary for the app to function.

Core-B does not maintain a remote user account or external server-side copy of this information.

Users can remove locally stored Simple Calendar data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app from their devices.

Simple Calendar Watch Face

Simple Calendar Watch Face displays calendar information supplied by Simple Calendar Companion.

The watch face itself does not contain advertising or Core-B analytics and does not independently send calendar information to Core-B servers.

Calendar information displayed by the watch face originates from the user's selected calendars through Simple Calendar Companion and is used to provide the watch-face functionality.

Other Core-B Watch Faces

Other Core-B Wear OS watch faces that do not use Simple Calendar Companion do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share personal information with Core-B.

These watch faces do not use Core-B analytics, advertising, tracking technologies, user accounts, or external Core-B servers.

A watch face may display information supplied locally by Wear OS or by complication providers selected by the user. Depending on the watch face and the user's choices, this may include:

• the current time and date;
• watch battery level;
• the number of unread notifications;
• complication information selected by the user, such as weather, activity, health, calendar, or other device information.

This information is used only to provide the selected watch-face functionality. Core-B does not independently transmit this information to Core-B servers.

Permissions and device access

Core-B apps request device permissions only where they are required for the app's functionality.

Simple Calendar Companion may request calendar access and approximate location access as described above.

Other Core-B watch faces use the standard Wear OS watch-face and complication systems. Availability of particular information depends on the user's device, Wear OS, and the complication provider selected by the user.

Core-B apps and watch faces do not independently request access to the microphone or camera unless a future feature explicitly requires it and this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.

Data sharing and third-party services

Core-B does not sell personal information.

Simple Calendar Companion uses Google services including Google AdMob and Android/Wear OS platform services. These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Google Play, Wear OS, the device manufacturer, advertising providers, and complication providers may separately process information as part of providing their respective services.

Data security

Core-B is designed to keep calendar information and app settings on the user's own devices except where transfer between the user's phone and Wear OS watch is required for Simple Calendar functionality.

Third-party services such as Google AdMob use their own security measures for information they process.

Data retention and deletion

Core-B does not maintain an external database containing users' Simple Calendar events, location information, or app settings.

Information and settings stored locally by Simple Calendar may remain on the user's device until they are replaced, cleared, or the app is uninstalled.

Users can delete locally stored app data through the device's application settings or by uninstalling Simple Calendar Companion and the associated watch components.

Information processed independently by third-party services such as Google is subject to those providers' own retention and deletion policies.

Purchases

Purchases and payment processing for paid Core-B products are handled by Google Play.

Core-B does not receive or store the user's full payment-card or banking details.

Children's privacy

Core-B apps and watch faces are not designed for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.

Core-B does not knowingly operate an external service intended to collect children's personal information.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the functionality of Core-B apps or watch faces, third-party services, or applicable legal requirements change.

The latest version will remain available on this page, together with the date of the most recent update.
